Silent Auction to Support the Family Readiness Group

We are conducting a silent auction of five very interesting pieces related to the US cavalry. We have set the reserves at a reasonable level and 100% of the final auction price will be donated to the Family Readiness Group at Fort Irwin. The auction will close at 24 00 hrs. on 16 May 2005. To bid, use the below button and inform us of the maximum amount you are willing to pay for a designated item(s). On 17 May, we will settle the auctions, and we will inform the highest bidder. Their check will then be sent directly to the TF 2/11 FRG address as listed below. Once the check clears, we will ship the item. At the web site, we handle no funds. We will acknowledge the winners publicly at the site if they so desire.

Eaglehorse.org in conjunction with the Family Readiness Group (FRG) at Fort Irwin and the Eaglehorse Squadron Rear Detachment Commander has established a tangible way for veterans of the unit and visitors to this web site to assist the currently deployed troopers and their families. Everyone wants to send care packages but for any number or reasons, this is not permitted for non family members. The next best solution is to send money that will then be used by the Family Readiness Group to purchase and configure packages of sundry items not readily available in Iraq for the Eaglehorse troopers.

These funds may also be used in emergency situations at Fort Irwin involving family members of the squadron. A complete accounting system has been established to monitor how much money comes in and how it is then spent. Your donation may be directly earmarked to the sub account of any of the subordinate units in the Task Force, or to the Task Force itself. Be assured that every dollar donated will be used for the good of the TF 2/11 ACR troopers or family members in distress.
