Patrols
The companies of Border Troops, to secure
the border barrier system, used a variety of mobile patrols. Often seen
on the control road were any number of light wheel vehicles and trucks.
Dismounted patrols carefully checking the plowed strip as well as
motorcycle patrols were also common. These images, both of actual
events seen on our border and scans from Border Troop manuals and
recruiting brochures reflect typical scenes.
